Pierre‑François Lubin (1774–1853) apprenticed under Marie‑Antoinette’s perfumer Jean‑Louis Fargeon, mastered the beauty secrets of the French court and went on to become the favoured perfumer of European royalty and the first to introduce French fragrance to the New World.
